Every Picture Tells A Story.

Beautiful sunrise Friday morning.
A daisy-like flower that appears to still be alive.
These next photos are from the batch I recently received from my Mum. This above was taken at Christmas 1983, (pardon the underwear!) a couple of months before we got married. I don't remember why Chuck is holding up underwear. I don't even recall the photo being taken but I do remember that sweater. I loved it!
Here we are on our wedding day in March. That is Chuck's brother Stephen smiling in the background.
My Mum and Dad in March of 1957, seven months before they got married.
Here they are in 1972 in Spain. I love the sunglasses!

I'm not feeling too bloggy lately. This time of year is rather a tough time for us. We have lost a number of people in the month of December over the years so it is a month I quickly want to get through.

Take care.
Robin

  1. It's called "blogging without obligation" for a reason. Only if/when you feel like it, Robin.

Jeepers, you and Chuck look about 12 years old in that Christmas photo, and not much older at your wedding!

Love the pic of your parents snuggling, they were a very good looking couple and it's a sweet, sweet photo.

Oh, yes, those sunglasses were the height of fashion, I'm sure. I wonder who was behind them, puffing on that cigarette. LOL.

Lots of hugs and Light, take care.

    1. Hi Kim, in the Christmas photo I was 19, Chuck was 23. In the wedding photo I had just turned 20. When I saw the Christmas photo I realized why everyone said we looked too young to get married!
I love all the old photos of my parents. My Mum hung on to those sunglasses for years.
      Take care.

    1. Hi Henny, glad you enjoyed the photos. We did look pretty young as I see now but you couldn't tell me that then!

  4. The Christmas season can be hard for some of us and for various reasons. Get through them as best you can. Fake it if you have to for family's sake. Be extra kind to yourself.

  6. Old photographs are often fun and interesting. Tracking the years by fashions worn at the time can be a bit embarrassing, though. Your mum and dad came through 1972 looking all right, though. Except maybe the sunglasses...
