Birds Of All Nations.

Very busy at the bird feeders Friday. I am assuming because of the cooler weather of the last couple days. A line up at the niger feeder.
Until the squirrels scared them off running up the tree!
The woodpecker was tapping up in the maple tree. A flicker came by too but he moved around so quickly I couldn't get a photo.
I spoke too soon the other day when I mentioned no bathing going on at the birdbaths. The water wasn't frozen so a few birds enjoyed splashing around.
This sparrow was flinging water all around.
I don't imagine there are too many birdbaths still out. To be honest part of the reason they are still out there is pure laziness! With the garage renovation I didn't have a place to put them. As it is going to be warm this upcoming week I will leave them out awhile longer. All the critters are still using them.
Terribly blurry but I wanted to show you a starling bathing and the robin's waiting their turn. That particular birdbath was very busy!
And through it all Toby was watching everything. He can see right into our backyard from where he is tied up. It was rather chilly so I gave him a cuddle. He shortly went back into his house.

Quiet week this week as I have no desire to fight the crowds in the shops so we will mostly be staying home. I hope everyone has a great week and a lovely Christmas. Thank you to everyone who for reads my blog. You are a wonderful group of people!
Take care.
Robin

  1. The birds might be using the bird bath as a skating rink this morning! We had snow overnight, not a lot, just enough to make the roofs and ground white. Hope it melts as the day progresses, I'm not ready to face winter. :-p

How is Toby doing, is he still throwing up?

Toby is doing fine now, I guess it was just him pigging down his food

    1. Thanks Phoebe! One of the big reasons we bought this house was it having so many trees around for the birds.

  5. My post today is about the bird activity in my back yard! I realize yours was yesterday but I'm finally checking out my fav. blogs after feeling not so great. I love the second photo where the birds' wings are a blur as they get ready for take off.
