Spring Will Be A Little Late This Year.

This is what greeted us Sunday morning. We received about an inch of snow overnight. Very cold and windy too. Quite a difference from last Sunday!
A flock of Cedar Waxwings were enjoying the crabapples in our neighbours tree.
The sun was shining brightly which helped to melt the snow.
By mid-afternoon most of the snow was gone and the birds were back eating under the feeders.
Ms. Cardinal enjoying the sun.
Not many squirrels coming to the feeders anymore. The sunflower seeds sure last longer!
Timid Mr. Cardinal.
I love the slash of colour on the Redwing's wing.
This morning we woke up to two inches of snow on the ground. It is supposed to be colder today so the snow may hang around for a couple days.
Poor Robin! She did not look very happy at all. She had lots of company sheltering in the tree with her.

We had another showing of our home yesterday and received very positive feedback. Now we wait!

Have a wonderful week!
Robin

  1. Spring will be a lot late, by the look and feel of things here. Minus 16C windchill this AM, and oh, it was bitter. Yesterday too!

My favourite photo is the mourning dove, all fluffed up. So pretty! And Mr. or Ms. Squirrel, hanging upside down. :-)

Fingers crossed for the house, Robin. I just overheard the other department's admin say they've accepted an offer on their house--it just went up a few days ago, I don't even think it had time to be posted to the MLS listings. I wish my neighbours' unit would sell soon...third weekend and no takers that I'm aware of. At least no "sold" sign up. :-/

    1. Hi Kim, I heard this morning it is supposed to be cool for the next 10 days. Crazy!
I do love the mourning dove photo too. I have to restrain myself and not post all mourning dove photos.
We just have to wait and see now concerning the house. As the season progresses there is more interest. Fingers crossed your neighbours sell soon!

    1. Hopefully we both have nicer weather now!
I felt so bad for the Robin's yesterday. They looked like they were in shock.

  5. The squirrel is quite the acrobat!

I hope the viewings of the house lead to some concrete offers. I know what it's like waiting for those.

    1. It is remarkable how flexible squirrels are.
Thanks for your good wishes. It wasn't too long ago you were going through this!

  6. The bunny is so cute. Bunnies are one of my favorite little critters. Honestly, it is looking more like December everywhere than April.
