Another Stinker!

Hot that is. I know we are cold alot longer than we are warm in Canada, but I have had enough of the hot weather.

Not much happening today. We went for our walk very early. Then we went and got a few groceries, paid the house taxes and came home to get out of the heat. I made Matza Ball Soup for lunch which I know was silly with it being over 80 degrees out but SOMEBODY wanted it. Chuck spent part of the morning fixing trim so he deserved it.

Just some random pictures from our walk this morning. Take care and have a good day.
I only saw the second frog when I got home and downloaded the photos.

Something large uses this pathway. (from yesterday)

Sorry, I can't resist!

  1. It looks like it was a good walk! I wonder if the path is a deer trail, or was made by something else.

That rabbit is pretty big, IMO. Love the tail. :-) I caught a glimpse of a cottontail on Saturday morning, but just out of the corner of my eye.

Hey, at least the frogs know how to keep cool. I'd like to immerse myself in water right now too. At least up to my knees.

Take care! I'm not looking forward to the partial walk home, which will be 25 - 30 minutes in this. Ugh.

    1. I assume it is a deer trail. We have seen them in the past in this area.
We saw so many rabbits this morning from this big one down to a little tiny baby who moved so quickly I could not get a photo.
The frogs were quite vocal this morning. It was so funny to hear them all croaking at once. Today I find it is not as humid as it was yesterday but temp. wise it is hotter.
Make sure you have lots of water on your walk home Kim. Take care.

    1. I guess we are supposed to get some relief from the heat and humidity this weekend. Stay cool!

  3. Nice pictures from your walk. Isn't it amazing at all the different things there are to take pictures of every morning on a walk?!!
80 degrees doesn't really sound all that hot to me - is it humid making it seem hotter? It was 80 degrees here but up at HT there was a nice breeze so it felt quite pleasant.

    1. There always seems to be something to take photos of!
It is the humidity that makes it feel really hot. With the humidex it was in the mid 90's yesterday. Down by the Bay there is a breeze too so it feels cooler there.

  4. Hi Cat Lover.... thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. It's always nice to discover another Canadian blogger. Your soup sounds interesting ( hope you'll post the recipe, although I doubt I'd find the ingredients around here). Keep cool ( if you possibly can), G.M.

    1. Hi G.M., Thanks for stopping by. Next time I make the soup I will post photos and the recipe. You may have a hard time finding the Matza Meal. I ended up ordering a case right from the distributer.Take care!
