The backsplash is done!

It is almost two months to the day since the kitchen renovation started. Today it is finished! It seems much longer than two months but we were blessed with no problems and everyone did a wonderful job.
I was wandering around the garden yesterday afternoon to see what was blooming and what is finished. The hosta above is just about to flower. I love the colour of the foliage.
These roses are right outside the family room window. They scent the whole downstairs beautifully.
The daises seem to bloom for months. I have had them at every one of our homes. They are such reliable bloomers.
As I was walking around the yard this squirrel was keeping an eye on me from up one of the maple trees. He wanted to get back to the peanuts and sunflower seeds I had put down earlier.

Chuck continues to work on painting the family room. I will post photos when he is finished. The grand daughter of the lady who originally owned our home is coming to visit on Saturday so we hope to have all of the painting completed by then.

Cooler and much less humid here today. I hope everyone is having a nice day. Take care.

  1. Daisies are so cheerful and reliable. What more can you ask from a flower?

    2. The tiles are a browny grey. The colour is in the countertop too. We went with a solid colour backsplash as we felt the counter had enough pattern in it.
Both you and Chuck are painting trim! Enjoy!

  3. The backsplash looks terrific and I love the pop of red. It all looks great and seems to have been worth it. It doesn't seem like it was two month to me, though. Maybe a month. LOL. Probably because I wasn't the one going through the reno!

Love the roses and daisies! When I was a child I had daisy curtains in my bedroom. :-)

    1. Thanks Kim! I think it definitely was worth it. The old kitchen had so much wasted space, this one is so much better.
I love all flowers I think. Growing up I had flower wallpaper in my bedroom with a flowered quilt. 1970's can you tell?
Have a good day, Kim! It is painting day here again.

I love daisies too and have a lot of them in my yard. Whats nice about them too is that they keep multiplying.
