Hot Summer Night

It seems that is all we are having lately. By Friday it is supposed to cool down.
A neighbour gave me a box of dahlia bulbs in the spring. I neglected to ask what colour they were and just planted them. I love the colour!
So hot out there is not much action at the feeders the past few days. You can always count on the squirrels being there though.
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago in the "Family Room Done" post I wanted to put these photos of my Mum and Dad in better frames. My Dad's photo is his high school graduation photo, my Mum's  her graduation photo from Mac Nursing School. Chuck scanned the photos and cleaned them up a bit. We went over to Walmart and enlarged them and this is the result.
I love them in these frames. My Dad's photo really came out great.
I also purchased a frame for the photo of my Dad and I and put it on the shelf in the kitchen. Since I spend so much time in there I see it all the time.
I hope you are staying cool and enjoying your day.
Take care.
Robin

  1. Indeed it's been warm. I was pleasantly surprised that our hydro bill was only $220 for the past two months as the a/c seems to have been on forever.

    1. Glad your hydro bill was not too bad. The price for hydro just keeps going up and up it is harder and harder to economize!. Have a great day Gill!

  2. The photos of your mum and dad, and all the new frames, look terrific!

The dahlia is gorgeous, the colours stunning. Nice floral surprise!

Cooling down (well, to 28C) will be welcome. None of us has much energy, that's for sure.

    Have a peaceful evening. :-)

    1. Thanks Kim! It took Chuck and I a half hour to decide on frames.
I expected the dahlia to be red so I was pleasantly surprised to sell the purple colour.
We are looking forward to the cooler weather!
      Talk soon.

    1. Same here! We have quite a number of old black and white photos displayed around the house. I prefer them over colour ones. Happy memories!
