Through The Years.

Today would have been my parent's 58th wedding anniversary. My Dad always grew roses and would on this day bring in the last roses from the garden for my Mum.
I talked to my Mum a few hours ago and she said she was sitting and remembering their wedding day. It was unseasonably cold with a few snow flurries. Not too many outdoor photos were taken as my Mum just had a small wrap and the men were just in their suits.
This photo sat on a side table as long as I can remember.

Have a wonderful day.
Robin

That is a good way to describe the memories of my parent's wedding day, soft and sweet. My Mum seemed fine when I talked to her. She said she knew I would remember and call her.

    1. Thanks Karen. Do you know what my Mum did with her wedding gown after her wedding day? When my sister was born she took the dress apart and used the lace to go around the outside of the bassinet! My Mum is NOT sentimental. I would have loved to wear her wedding dress on my wedding day.

    2. My wedding dress turned yellow after a few years and I threw it away! I'm not very sentimental about some things either. : )

    3. It's funny. My Mum was not one bit sentimental about her own dress, but when I got married she bought me special tissue paper and box to wrap my dress in. I still have my dress, 32 years and counting, and it looks pretty good.
