Eye Of The Tiger.

I promise these are the last photos of Toby and Oreo! I thought I would share a couple of blooper photos. Oreo is above with her laser eyes.
Silly Toby photo bombing when I was taking a photo of Oreo.
With some warmer temperatures over the last week our snow has melted quite a bit. The birds are busy as ever at the feeders. I just caught the chickadee as it took off from the feeder pole. He looks like he is heading right for the cardinal!
Mr. Squirrel sat on the deck rail and enjoyed some dried cranberries. I think he needs a nail trim!
One day was so warm many robin's were out and about.
We received some snow and high winds yesterday but through it all there were many critters at the feeders.

Our neighbours Christmas display actually looks Christmassy now.
I received this beautiful orchid for taking care of Toby and Oreo. I panicked when I first saw it as I have never owned an orchid. The instructions were very simple so hopefully I won't kill it!

My Mum's health continues to worsen. She is still in the hospital and is now on oxygen. The doctors say she MAY be able to come home next week but she will need daily care now. Thanks for all your good thoughts.

Have a great weekend!
Robin

  4. Although I've had many different house plants over the years, I've never had an orchid. Like you I'd be scared I'd accidentally kill it. They apparently have an undeserved reputation for being fragile. We shall see. (insert smile here).
That's not great news about your poor mom needing daily care when she gets home from hospital. I hope a solution can be found that works for all concerned.

    1. I have read up a bit on orchids and they aren't as fragile as you would think as you say.
Thanks for your kind words about my Mum.

  5. Your bloopers are what most of my cat pictures look like. Lol.

I think all the critters are very lucky... Do any other home owners in your neighborhood also feed the birds and squirrels? Hope so!

We're continuing to send purrs and Light to your mum, and you too, Robin.

    Take care.

    1. Kim and Mary next door have a feeder and Janice across the street does too so the birds and squirrels are well covered in this part of the neighbourhood.
Thanks for your concern about my Mum, Kim, I appreciate it.

  7. I would be nervous about the orchid too. My Mom used to grow orchids and had them in a green house but I bet you can keep that one alive.
Those are great pictures. Chickadees are one of my favorites
We sure send many prayers for your Mom.

    1. Thanks. I often seem to take photos with laser beam eyes! I looked out at the feeders a couple of days ago and 5 black squirrels were eating there. I think somebody put the word out!

  10. I love the Christmas window box. It looks like a Christmas card. Oreo looks very otherworldly.

If wishes could help your mum, she'd be able to leap over tall buildings by now. Continued thoughts for her good health.

    1. Thank you so much! What a kind, thoughtful thing to say. Her health continues to deteriorate with no hospital release day in the near future.
