"Here Comes Goodbye"

How do I say goodbye to this face? I am dreading leaving Toby and Oreo next door.
It just breaks my heart looking at this photo. I know they will forget me very quickly. I am finding it harder saying goodbye to all the various pets in this neighbourhood than the people. That definitely says something about me!
This little one, and I mean little, was digging around in one of the pots. I have been seeing it in the yard over the last week of so.
I notice as soon as I go outside to fill the feeders the maple tree comes alive with Bluejays. Think they know my schedule?
The moulting has started again. It is strange why only some Bluejays moult all at once. Looks like this one is just starting to grow some feathers back.

We get the keys to our new home on Monday and start moving in on Tuesday. If I get a chance I will blog  about the move next week. If not it may be the following week. Sorry if I don't comment on your blogs for a couple weeks. I will read and comment if I have a moment.

Take care everyone and think good moving thought for us!
Robin

  1. Best of luck with the move, Robin. Don't even give one second's thought to blogs, for heaven's sake.

I would find it hard to say goodbye to Toby and Oreo too. I certainly can't say there are any humans in my complex I would miss, even though I actually do chat with a few and "like" them.

Anyway, fingers crossed all goes well with the move and the settling in. It really doesn't have to be done overnight (slight exaggeration), so pace yourself. (Yeah, as if that will ever happen. Ha.)

    Take care!

    1. Thanks Kim. Every time I think about not seeing those two kitties again I just tear up. Silly I know!
The move will not be done very quickly. Chuck took the two weeks off so we do have a good amount of time to get settled in. Famous last words!
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!

  2. I am sure the animals are going to miss you just as much. Sure looks like they love you. You've probably posted this, but how far away are you moving from where you are now? Lots of miles? Can't wait to hear about the move and your new home. I would be so excited!

    1. Hi Henny, our new home is about 10 miles away in a SMALL town with a population of around 3,500. Our current home is in a very busy neighbourhood. We just want to live somewhere that has peace and quiet!

  5. Maybe you can come back and have a little visit with Toby and Oreo. 10 miles isn't far to go and you can enjoy your nifty new car. Of which I am so envious.
Good luck with the move. Hope all goes well. Once you're settled in we'll all be looking forward to pictures.
