I do love these Red Breasted Nuthatches! I read a great description recently- "The adult has blue-grey upper parts and cinnamon underpants" Love it!
We continue to have mostly mild weather with a couple days of cool. The Cardinals are singing their hearts out up in the trees.
Many cat visits over the last few days. I managed to get Sweet Pea to eat out of a bowl on a few occasions.
Sorry, totally blurry but I loved the expression of Miss Kitty's face. She and Punkin are hanging around together again but I'm not seeing the constant hot pursuing that Punkin was doing a couple weeks ago. They just show up together and ask for a meal. I hope to get a clearer photo!
We had a bit of snow one day last week and I walked over to the grocery store. It was warming up and very foggy. I popped into the apple orchard to get a few photos. Looks like someone else had the same idea.
Again not the best photo but Snowball wiggles around so much it is hard to get a clear one. She just loves Chuck!
Grackles are back! I was so surprised to see a small flock of them a few days ago. Last year I didn't see them until March 16.
Beautiful sunrise on the weekend. We had received a dusting of snow but it shortly melted when the sun came up.
So many flocks of geese too.
Here is a new member of the menagerie! Taken through the screen door as I didn't want to startle him. Usually I only see him at night but he came during the day yesterday. The name Smokey popped into my head when I saw him.
I walked through the gardens to see if anything was coming up. The sedum's are up…….
……...along with whatever this is!
……………and snowdrop's. As this is our first Spring in the house it will be interesting to see what plants we have.
Just a hodgepodge of photos today. We've stayed home the past few days painting the master bath and going for long walks enjoying the Spring-like weather.
As I type this I can hear Robin's chirping and the Cardinal singing too. Lovely!
I so appreciate all the wonderful comments everyone has been leaving. You all are so kind!💗
