"Listen To The Flower People"
This is my second attempt at writing this post. The first one just vanished just as I was finishing it!
A quiet relaxing time this past week.
We finally got around to cleaning up a few totes that have been sitting in the garage since we moved in a year ago. A box went to the thrift store and a big bag is going out in the garbage. Chuck reorganized and cleaned it top to bottom.
Some more painting was done and the front hall dejunked.
Waiting for his peanuts!
One of our neighbours gardens. The sad thing is they are at their cottage all Summer and miss all this beauty.
A big storm the other night. Lightening was flashing across the sky. It was pitch dark when I took this photo
Beautiful church in Colborne.
I took this just before our walk a few mornings ago.
The "New Guy" We think he belongs to another neighbour. He is rather plump and declawed on the front. Extremely snuggly and kissy. I call him "Ralph" Hopefully I can find out his real name shortly.
You know me and clouds!
Smokey looking a little wet. He and Miss Kitty showed up a little soggy. It was a sunny day so someone must have sprayed them.
A flower from a beautiful cottage garden in Colborne.
The whole front yard was a garden.
Love the pink/mauve!
I keep meaning to plant these in our garden but promptly forget each year.
Janice and I are off to "Haute Goat" tomorrow. (I can't get the link to work!!! Google it please!) We are going to a "Haute Goat Shmurgling Experience" I read about a little while ago and knew I had to go! Photos to follow!
Have a great week!

Such beautiful flowers, Robin -- you know how I feel about flowers! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that last cloud shot you posted -- that's amazing.
Smooches to "Ralph" and to Smokey too (and Miss Kitty, can't forget her). Have fun at Haute Goat tomorrow. I'm jealous, I do admit it. What fun, to cuddle little goats! I'll have to live vicariously through you. :-)
Oh Kim, I so wish you could come. Janice will like it but I know you would LOVE it like I will.
DeleteI took the last cloud shot out the computer room window. There were so many seagulls flying over. If I remember correctly it was just before a storm.
I will smooch Ralph for you, he does enjoy it!
Have a good day!
BTW, the link is working, at least for me: https://hautegoat.com/collections/tours
ReplyDeleteI will try to insert it!
DeleteNope, can't get it to work when I try to link it to the post!
DeleteHello, the flowers are all beautiful. I love the coneflowers. The last blooms are one of my favorites too. Cute kitties, glad the neighbor is nice. The Haute Goat experience looks like fun, I had to google what it was. Goats for the soul, right up my alley. Have fun and take lots of photos. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, I'm glad you googled it! Just can't get the link to insert in the post. I can't wait to go.
DeleteI WILL take lots of photos.
Enjoy your day too!
I love the picture of Smokey, he's one handsome cat.
ReplyDeleteBriony
x
Smokey is very handsome, if a tad messy! He has gotten better the few months I have been feeding him.
DeleteHave a good day!
Why would anyone spray water on those kitties? And what's with declawing cats, anyhow? Don't people know how awful that amputation surgery is? The flower and sky photos are lovely; I've been attracted by the beautiful clouds this summer too.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki,I don't know why someone would spray a cat. I know a couple neighbours are not thrilled that I feed them. Miss Kitty has come to the house wet a few times.
DeleteThe clouds have been incredible this year. I am continually amazed.
Take care!
Have fun at the creamery... beautiful photos of the kitties, hope the declawed one is safe outside.. the flowers in the last photo are one of my favorites, I love that color.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, we had a hoot at the goat farm! Glad you enjoyed the photos of the kitties. Myself, I would never have a declawed cat outside. It can't protect itself.
DeleteHope all is well with you and Bob!
Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteWho keeps the neighbor's flowers, so well cared for, while they are away all summer??????
Oh mercy, if they had that cat declawed, why are they letting it out???????? That is not supposed to be!!!!!! It can not defend itself, if needed!!! -sigh-
Don't declaw! Teach your new kitten, to like having you clip its claws, regularly. And then, keep the cat inside! My view. My view.
Enjoy! Whatever you are going to.
Luna Crone
Hi Luna, the neighbours flowers last because we have had so much rain and most except the geraniums are perennials.
DeleteI agree with keeping cats indoors. I would worry too much about them!
Take care!
Robin, your photos are gorgeous! And I hope Ralph is happy and safe. When I see a declawed cat outside I get concerned, as they are not able to climb trees and defend themselves as well as their cousins with claws. Your photos are always bursting with colour, character and joy!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I haven't seen Ralph in a couple days now. I imagine he is inside. Miss Kitty chased him home the other day.
DeleteIa m so glad you enjoy my photos. I do love sharing them.
Take care!
I'm glad you persevered with your post, it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe blooms are magnificent and the cats are gorgeous. Is declawing cats common? I'm shocked. It's illegal here. xxx
Hi Vix, declawing is NOT common here and a few provinces have declared it illegal but not Ontario. Hopefully soon!
DeleteSo glad you enjoyed the post.
Have a good weekend!
ralph...itz veree nice ta meet ewe dood....N smokey N miss kitty; considered it yur last spray; ewe iz memburrz oh de familee now.... N noe one mezzez with uz ~~~~~ ore R friendz ~~~ ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteHi Tabbies, so glad to hear Miss Kitty and Smokey have the family at their backs! I hope it is the last time they are sprayed.
DeleteHave a good weekend!
Lovely colour in the flowers, so nice to see.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Hi Jan, nice to hear from you again! Glad you enjoyed the flower photos.
DeleteHave a great day!
Computers are hungry beasts. They eat stuff and leave no trace. How lovely of your neighbours to leave such beautiful flowers for everyone to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh Jono, you aren't kidding! I REALLY know nothing about computers and it is a miracle I can manage to publish a post.
DeleteAll the neighbourhood has been enjoying the beautiful flowers. I think they have finally come back from their cottage yesterday as they have kids still in school.
Be well!
Oh I really dislike having to deal with anything technical! Your neighbours do have a beautiful garden, it is a shame they don't get to see it xx
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl, you and me both! I have never made a call on a cell phone or texted anybody. I am so behind the times!
DeleteThe garden is beautiful. Lucky we have a front row seat to enjoy it.
Have a good weekend!
You have got my imagination going with that term flower people! These are all so pretty. And love that church...it is a beauty. Your Ralph reminds me of our Bubbie. Cannot wait for your next phitos...souns interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, The gardens here just seem to be at their peek. With all the rain in the Spring and now we finally are having some heat everything is just beautiful now.
DeleteI am doing a post shortly on our adventure yesterday.
Hope you and Roger are well!
What a lovely flower garden your neighbours who are gone all summer have! Mine is looking decidedly sad after all the hot dry weather. Isn't it amazing that August is half over?
ReplyDeleteYou took some really good pictures again. Love that moon in the night sky!
Hope you had an awesome day with Janice!!
Hi Granny Marigold, the gardens are still looking fairly good here. We have been dry the last two weeks but not as dry as you have been!
DeleteYes, where did August go? The kids will be back in school in a couple weeks here and apple time has started too.
Another advantage of getting up so early, I get some great moon shots. : )
Janice and I did have a great day!
Beautiful flowers. If his name's not Ralph, it should be. I will google Haute Goat.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitchell, the flowers are gorgeous right now. My phlox has lasted and lasted.
DeleteI thought he looked like a Ralph too. He reminds me of Ralph Cramden (probably spelled wrong) He is plumpish but very light on his feet.
Hope you had a chance to google Haute Goat!
Wow it's been a year since you moved already!! That sure went by fast!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the squirrel.
What a shame your neighbors miss all that beauty in their own garden. Nice that you can enjoy it.
Hi Karen, the year has gone by so quickly. But it has been a lovely, peaceful year.
DeleteWe are blessed to be surounded by great gardeners (or they have someone do it!) so we can enjoy all this beauty.
Take care!
This is the prettiest post . . . I love all the flowers. It is so sad that your neighbors have a garden like that and don't stay around to enjoy it. I have enjoyed every minute of my visit, thank you.
ReplyDeleteConnie :)
Hi Connie, thank you for stopping by!
DeleteI love the neighbours gardens too. I love to garden and am blessed with very generous neighbours who share their plants with me.
I am so glad you enjoyed the post.
Come again!
Hi Robin! Wow! Lovely flowers! We must enjoy them while we can.
ReplyDeleteAlways good to see a variety of cute kitties!
Have fun on your outing!
Hi Pom Pom, It seems like we have hardly had a Summer to enjoy the flowers and now it is starting to wind down.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed the kitties. I love your Timothy!
We did have a great time yesterday.
have a wonderful weekend!
Great post. Love the flower pics. Don't you hate it when you have a post written out, pics added, font pick out and you are either still in the process of writing or about to publish it....and bam you lose it. I really hate redoing a post.
ReplyDeleteHi Pam, so glad you enjoyed the flower photos.
DeleteI still don't know what happened to the first post I wrote. It takes me awhile to write them and on Tuesday when I wrote it I was pressed for time. Hopefully it doesn't happen too often.
Take care.
