Many Yesterdays Ago.

Easter 1968. That's me on the left with my sister Joanne and brother Bob.. I remember that coffee table, I remember how the couch in the background felt under my hands as I climbed up on it. I remember how we ate hard boiled eggs all week because we had coloured and decorated so many!
An up and down week this week with the weather. A few good days but then a couple bad days as I mentioned in my last post. This was before the storm….. ( I love how the Grackle in the background seems to be glaring at the Starlings!)
And this is after. Not much snow but we did get quite a bit of freezing rain. No fun getting out and about for a couple days.
This female Cardinal must have had her tail out in the storm.
I took this photo this morning. Wonderful to see the Goldfinches turning yellow again.
Sunny and mild here today. Great day for a long walk.
Enjoy your Sunday!

  1. That's such a cute Easter photo. I'll bet the chocolate was yummy. :-)

Yes, it's a lovely day...I hope we've seen the last of snow and freezing rain till next winter.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your Sunday. I've been grappling with my taxes. Ugh!!

It is gorgeous out. We walked for almost two hours this morning. Chucks back is finally feeling much better.
Good luck with your taxes. We gave up a few years ago and just take them to an accountant.
      Take care!

    1. Thanks G.M. Grackles are such interesting birds. I love how they puff themselves up to impress the other Grackles.

  4. Wonderful photos of your bird visitors and it was lovely to read about the memories that the photo from 1968, evoked for you. My dad worked for a Greek family when I was little and each year we would get a shoebox full of coloured hardboiled eggs from them as a gift...we ate those eggs just about every meal! Lol

  5. Couches and coffee tables, lamps and carpets - as distinctive to a decade as fingerprints are to a person. I remember getting a solid chocolate bunny for the first time instead of a hollow one. I thought it was a bargain, until I tried to gnaw into the thing...

    1. I remember getting a solid bunny for the first time too. So much chocolate! It was a toss up whether to inhale it all at once or slowly to make it last longer. I was a slow eater!

  7. All three of you children were so cute! Easter was fun. I remember eating lots of dyed Easter eggs. Why were those better than eating a plain old boiled egg?
