"One Step Up."

Look who stopped by the bird feeders this morning! It was a very brief visit as the black squirrels kept chasing her. She got a few peanuts and ran off through the neighbours yard. I do see her down the street at a friends bird feeders.
Chippy just sat still and watched Butterscotch being chased around the yards.
This cowbird was giving me the stink eye!
This cardinal managed to get a couple peanuts open and gulped them down.
This little red squirrel is a new visitor. He dashed around the yard for quite awhile snatching seeds along the way.
I love the blue heads of the Grackles.
Just a few minutes ago I went out and scattered some seeds and raisins on the ground. I didn't even get back in the house and these birds swopped down to eat them.
We received a call from our real estate agent yesterday afternoon. The first buyers on the house we put an offer on backed off so the house is free and clear now.
We have an inspection scheduled for Tuesday morning so we will see how that goes and then proceed from there. Hoping everything is alright at the house as we are homeless in 79 days!
Have a great evening everyone!
Robin

  1. Butterscotch! Wonderful to see her.

In the last pic, the robin looks like he's listening intently to the blue jay...makes me think of some sort of bird meeting, maybe a bird therapy session. Ha.

Good luck tomorrow, fingers crossed things go smoothly from here -- I'm sure it would be a refreshing change.

    1. Goodness Kim, you are quick!
I was so happy to see Butterscotch. Well, I am sure some descendant of the original Butterscotch. The birds in the last photo were very close together eating. I was surprised.
Thanks for the good wishes re: the house inspection. I will let your know!

    1. Hi Ronna, we are just moving 10 minutes down the highway to Brighton. Away from the air base and paper mill here in Trenton.

  4. Good news about the house. : ) Hope the inspection goes well.
Love the picture of the blue jay, doves, and robin.
So many chipmunks and squirrels have been coming into the yard that we've taken to trapping them and letting them loose up at HT.
