"I've Seen The Light Inside Of Clouds"

Am I the only one that dislikes November? Not a good month for me. Dreary weather, my car gets put away for the Winter and the gardens are done.
We have had frosts every night for the last week so all the plants were composted.
Chuck and I walk after work now and by the time we get home it is almost dark.
The leaves are all raked up and the trees are bare.
One plus is the junco's are back.
Ralph was a daily visitor until we had snow a couple days ago.
We have just received a couple dustings which melts by the afternoon.
I forgot to empty out my watering can and this leaf froze in it.
Miss Kitty drinking from Merv's pond. I do have a bowl of water out. Merv had to cover his pond as a hawk snatched two of his fish.
I've noticed rabbits a couple days below the feeders.
The squirrels are already feasting on the bittersweet berries.

Nothing exciting going on here. Chuck has been on call all this past week so  we have to stick close to home.
How many months until April????

Have a good week!
Robin

    1. Hi Eileen, glad you enjoyed the photos! Being sort of trapped at home with Chuck being on call this week that's all the photos I had!

  2. That first photo of the sky makes me think of a wormhole! Really neat capture.

The bunny is adorable, I wish I saw them more often. I did see tracks in the snow yesterday, heading out, though.

Speaking of snow, we still have some down and it's been snowing lightly all day. I hope it warms up enough tomorrow to take it all away, I'm not ready for this.

    1. Hi Kim, I took that first sky photo on Saturday (?) at lunch. I looked out the computer room window and called Chuck. First thing we thought too, that it looked like a wormhole.
The bunny sightings here are getting a little more frequent. I sure find the evidence that they have been here in the grass!
We are enjoying 10 degrees here today. Perfect for the door guys.
      Take care and talk soon.

  6. My remedy for the Novemer bla-h-hs -- pretty lights and swinging music! Now that the snow is here, everything seems brighter outside. I consider it my winter holidays. Cutting the grass and gardening on hold! Mosquitos gone! Yes, the juncos are lovely to see at our winter feeders. Your blog inspired me to plant bittersweet vine seeds this Fall. I always enjoy your photos and look forward to your posts.

    1. Hi Florence, I should have the same attitude towards November too. We don't have any snow at the moment but I know we will shortly. We actually are 10 degrees today and sunny. Which is wonderful because we are having new doors installed. I will be anxious to see how your bittersweet looks next Spring!
Thanks for your kind words, it means so much to me.

  7. November can be rather bleak. Maybe that's why I start decorating for Christmas early....lights and ornaments brighten up the house. We still have trees that haven't shed their leaves but next good wind will take care of that.
I really like the picture of the bird bath touched with snow. So pretty.

    1. Hi Granny Marigold, I find the house looks rather dull this time of year. I put the Fall decorations away by the 15th of November and don't usually put the Christmas ones out until December the 1st. That may change this year!
No leaves left on our trees. We have had a couple good wind storms that pulled them off.
Glad you like the birdbath photo. My laziness for putting it away made for a nice photo.
      Take care.

    1. Hi Valerie, November is the worst month for me. I know the long, cold, snowy Winter is still ahead. But we are going on vacation in May so that IS something to look forward to.
      Be well!

  10. I guess I'm a bit different than most people because I like November. I like walking in the woods with all the leaves gone because I can see a long way off. I like the cool crisp mornings and the first fall of snow. The sky seems so blue when the sun is shining and the sun feels wonderful on my cold face. I don't want to wish one day away but enjoy every one.

Beautiful photos and the first picture is very interesting.

  14. I don’t mind the autumn and winter, it makes me feel cosy when I’m inside... not so keen when I’m outside xx

    1. Hi Cheryl, Autumn I definitely don't mind but now in November the leaves are all off the trees and it is rather bleak. Although we have been having good weather this last week and we are supposed to be warm all this week. I will be getting outside and enjoying it!
      Take care.

  16. Beautiful pictures! My dad has to do the on call thing, too. In fact, the moment he got home from work last night he had to head right back out for a clogged drain, and ended up coming back home about 2 hours later stinking like a sewer. Anyway, happy weekend, y'all.
