Morning Walk

Lilac Hedge

Old stone house.
We live in a neighbourhood right on the edge of town with farmer's fields at the end of our street. We walk along a corn field to get out onto a main road. The scent was lovely with all the lilac's and apple trees blooming. It was very quiet. We only meet a couple of people out walking their dogs. I love these early morning walks. I hope you all enjoy your day . Take care.
Muskrat pond we think!

  1. What a wonderful, peaceful spot. Did you take shears along to collect some lilacs? I would have! :-)

    1. We have a number of these old stone houses in Trenton. I love them too. The smell is heavenly in the morning.

    2. You live in Trenton? Seriously? If you know Lynn Schutta (formerly Goslin), I'll be gob-smacked. Though Trenton's not big, so I guess it wouldn't be that much of a coincidence!!!

    3. BTW, if you do know Lynn (or knew Mike), for heaven's sake, email me. LOL. keas dot fuzzy dot tales at gmail dot com

    4. Sorry Don't know them. Trenton is very small. You run into people over and over again over the years!

    2. The lilacs seem to be blooming extra well this year. And don't you love those old stone houses?

    3. I do love the stone houses. There is an abandoned one a few blocks from us. I want to take some pictures of it but there are large "NO TRESPASSING" signs all around it. Maybe an early morning visit is required!

    4. Absolutely! As long as it's safe (and no one is watching to call the police), I say go for. There's just *something* about old abandoned homes. I can't put it into words, really, just a feeling. That sense of history, of the house being a living thing, of absorbing the auras of those who lived there.

    5. I plan on taking a walk over there and getting some pictures. I agree with you about old houses. If the walls could talk! I went to an open house at a 100+ year old house. When I went up into the attic, I got the most horrible feeling. I could not get out of there fast enough!
