We have a long, thin garden that runs along beside the garage. I kept meaning to get out there and clean up some of the plants. Well with everything else going on it got forgotten. Until today that is. The Lily-of-the-valley had taken over the garden and was long overdue for thinning. Only two clumps of the iris's were actually blooming so I wanted to get rid of them. All the plants that were here were 25 years old so a bit past their prime. Surprisingly the hosta's are all very nice so I left them. I have bare spots now so I think a rock hunting expedition is called for! The top photo is before I started and the lower one is after.
I thought you may get a laugh out of the photo of Chuck below. I came into the kitchen the other day and this was how I found him. He was drilling out some holes for the plumbing. His nickname at work is "Chuckmunk" since he is on the small side(5'8") and can get into very small places. He finished all the under-cabinet lighting and all the plumbing is ready for the new sink and countertops. The countertops are being put in tomorrow morning! Possibly by Thursday night I will have a hooked up dishwasher! I've jinked it now. Right now he is finishing the trim in the kitchen, then moving on to the powder room.
Still a little cool here today but the sun is out so it feels a little warmer. I hope you all have a good evening. Take care. Robin
