Baking morning

I know, I am crazy to bake in such hot, humid weather but when I woke up this morning I was in a baking mood. This was all done by 9:15, before it was too hot.
It was already into the 70's this morning when we woke up so another very early walk. We met a few people who had the same idea and lots of rabbits eating an early breakfast.
Starting on the left are Blueberry-Banana Muffins then Banana- Chocolate Chip Muffins then lastly Chocolate Chip Cookies. HMMMMM...there seems to be a few cookies missing.
On Saturday we went to Brighton. It was "Art on Main" day with many local artist's featured. It was very crowded so I could not take any photos. On the way back I snapped a few. Lots of farms between here and Brighton growing a variety of crops.
The corn is getting very large. One farm stand is advertising fresh corn already. I will have to check and see.
I believe this is soybeans (maybe corn too). Everything is still very lush and green.
This house in Brighton is always so pretty.
We were driving down the 401 one day last week and the clouds were so interesting. As we got closer to home they started to thicken up.
This caterpillar was on the hanging geranium on the back deck. I have no idea what kind it is.
It is just starting to rain now. Hopefully this will break the humidity.
Stay cool everyone!

  1. Mmm, do you need a taste-tester? You know, to ensure quality of the ingredients and all.

I love seeing all your day trips and jaunts. I miss doing that, used to do it all the time when I had a vehicle at my disposal!

Yes, I hope the rain brings a break in the humidity, it's hot/sticky in my house and difficult to sleep. I need a bit of cooler air to blow through!

    1. I would love to bring you some of my baking! Most of it went in the freezer to be doled out over the next few weeks. Thank you again for your kind comments on our day trips. I've always love taking photos, so now I can share them with a few friends.
It was very warm trying to sleep upstairs in our bedroom last night. We have set up a sitting room/bedroom in the basement where I imagine we will sleep tonight.
I hope it is cooler for you tonight. Take care Kim and talk soon

  2. Such pretty scenery along the way.
    Your baking looks delicious.
I have to bake some chocolate chip cookies for an outing on Saturday.
I have no idea what kind of caterpillar that is either.

    1. Forgot to say I looked up what a bunch of butterflies are called.
Either a flutter or a kaleidoscope.

    2. Thanks, Karen. I keep meaning to try your Chocolate Chippers Cookies too. They look yummy.
Thanks for letting me know what a bunch of butterflies is. I like the word flutter best. I think it describes them well.
      Have a great evening!
