Here we go again!

More renovations! Nothing big thankfully, and it was very quickly done. The hard part comes after when it all has to be painted.
We had crown moulding installed this morning in the family room by a lovely husband and wife team.  The dining room and living room has had it from the time the house was built but for some reason the moulding was not installed in here.
The Bald Bluejay showed up at the feeder this morning. He looks a little better as he seems to be getting some blue fuzz on his head. Not very much bird action at the feeders today. It is so hot I guess the birds are hiding out for the most part.
This male Redwing Blackbird spent some time here feeding a young one. Rather hard to see but the baby has his mouth open.
This Bluejay stopped by the feeders and ate quite a few peanuts. He had just knocked one off the cement block in this photo.
The web made by this spider was so pretty. It makes the geranium leaves look stripped.
This young Mourning Dove sat on the deck rail for a minute or so. I love their speckled wings.
Chuck and I were sitting out on the back deck and were entertained by two Nuthatches. They went around and around the trees looking for bugs. They move so quickly this was the best photo I got.

Too hot to do anything outside. I REALLY hope this intense heat ends soon.

Hope you  are enjoying your day. Take care.

  1. I love all your bird pics today, and am glad to see Mr. Bluejay starting to look better. Wonder what had happened to him (rhetorical).

The crown moulding looks good! I assume it will be Chuck who paints it. :-)

Yes, please, we need this heat wave to break! Take care and stay cool.

    1. Hi Kim, thanks for the compliment on the photos. Mr. Bluejay is starting to look a little better.
Chuck has already put one coat of paint on the moulding. He wants it done quickly as this is the room where we watch T.V (well, DVD's actually).
I hear it is supposed to be only 21 degrees on Saturday. My kind of temperature!
      Talk soon!

  2. I think your heat should be leaving soon. I am in Detroit, not that far from you. We are having storms that I am sure are headed your way. (be safe), that should hopefully cool things down a bit.

    1. We love how the crown moulding looks too. I like the contrast between the darkish walls and the white moulding and trim. The cooler weather is to start tomorrow here. I am really looking forward to it. I hate being cooped up in the house!

    1. The Bluejay looks a little better each day. I think the moulding just finishes the room. Chuck is painting it right now and hopefully we should have the room back together by tonight.

  5. Try and keep cool. I'm drinking lots of ice tea and enjoying my flowers, mostly from indoors!

    1. It seems a little cooler today, so we ventured out and did some errands. I was just outside doing some gardening and it wasn't too bad, but I was in the shade.
      Take care, Ronna.
