Another visit to Brambleberry Farm.

I woke up very early this morning and looked outside. It was a gorgeous morning so I did not want to waste it. First up was picking some more wild apples. At 6:00 we were out the door with cloth bag in hand.
Pardon the blurry photo but here are the apples we picked. Maybe 10 pounds. The trees are just full of apples with many already fallen on the ground. We quickly ate breakfast and jumped in the car and headed to Brambleberry Farm.
I took some photos on the drive there. It is such a beautiful day today.
I believe that is soybeans in the field to the left.
We arrived at the Farm and were directed where to park. This is the irrigation pond. It has been very dry so the level of the pond has gone down since the last time we were here.
Corn in the distant field and possibly cauliflower in front.
The windmill that runs the pumps that water the fields.
 More and more fields.
Raspberries! Not many left but we did pick some.
On the way home the wind picked up and was blowing the corn.
The blueberries took us about an hour to pick and the raspberries maybe 10 minutes. In the farm store they were offering a cauliflower, a bag of beans and a bag of potatoes for $3.00. In total all this cost $16.00. A very good deal!
Here is where some of the apples went. I just took it out of the oven 10 minutes ago. It smells heavenly!
The final picture I took last night just as it started to rain. The clouds were very interesting.
I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. Take care.

    1. It was a lovely day, thanks Karen. I LOVE making pies. Both my grandmothers and Mum were fantastic pie makers so I had very good teachers.

  3. Oh the produce! Mmm! What a lovely day you had and that pie....wistful sigh. LOL. Looks delicious.

BTW, I mentioned to Lynn* yesterday that there's a blogger in Trenton I follow (and vice versa) and she said if you're in Metro (and feel inclined), ask for her in Produce. :-) Lynn's very social and gregarious, lived in the County and Trenton all her life, probably knows people you know....you know how it is in small areas.

*Lynn's the ex-wife of the groom. It used to be the four of us, she and her ex, me and mine, hanging around together. Her ex is gay, married his partner yesterday. Nice wedding, great locale. I'll do a post today.
