Sunday Morning Sunshine.

It was a beautiful day on Sunday for our visit to Kim's. Sunny and warm for this time of year. We had a pleasant drive there and arrived mid-morning.
After chatting and catching up for awhile we (I should say Chuck) helped Kim with a small electrical job. Nicki and Derry snoopervised!
After a delicious lunch including scrumptious  homemade biscuits (Kim, I forgot to get your recipe!) we headed outside to consult with Kim about her Christmas lights. That problem was solved quickly and we headed back inside to visit some more.
This is Nicki up on his cat tower. It is very high and he flew up there like it was no height at all.
Derry is very sweet with his big beautiful eyes. I always seem to catch him when he turns away but I managed to get this photo.
Kim knows me so well and just before we left she said "Lets do the picture" I always like to have a photo of us together each trip.
We arrived back home around 4:00 p.m. after a quick side trip to a hardware store. Lately it feels like we spend half our waking hours in hardware stores!
You  can still distinguish the baby squirrels from the full size squirrels. This is one of the babies.

After 3 beautiful warm days we woke up to clouds this morning. It is still warm but that will shortly come to an end. By the weekend it is going to be cold and we may possibly get some snow flurries.
We had already had some snow by this time last year so it isn't unusual.

Not much going on here today. Chuck continues to paint our bedroom and I am planning on making a batch of bread.

Take care.
Robin

  1. It was a lovely visit, thank you so much for your company, Chuck's help and the baked goodies (and salad). All the rolls, cookies and muffins are gone now, of course. Right around my tummy! LOL.

Yeah, Nicki still bounces off the walls, or close to it. The cat tree is no problem at all. Derry's too fat, I think, to get to the top level now, though he would go up when I first got it.

The young squirrel is cute. He won't look so good in the spring, after a hard winter!

Have a great day, take care.

    1. Hi Kim, yes we had a lovely visit! I'm glad you enjoyed the baked goods.
The squirrels do look pretty rough after the winter. Now they are fat and glossy from all the peanuts and sunflower seeds.
      Enjoy your day!

    1. Hi Henny, they really are gorgeous cats and so sweet too. Poor Kim, I force her to be in a photo each time we meet. The squirrel is very cute and fairly tame too. Have a great week!

  3. The paint fumes haven't sent you packing yet, obviously. Is there more painting in the near future, or is this it for a while?
I made bread today too as well as some cranberry scones. Can't heat up the oven for one thing. It always seems so wasteful.

    1. Hi G.M. We are in the process of painting the whole house. The paint hadn't been touched in 25 years when we bought the house. We are sleeping in the guest room while Chuck is painting our bedroom.
      Take care.

  5. It's funny - I follow Kim's blog regularly, and now I see her and Derry and Nicki from a different perspective. She's lucky to have friends like you and Chuck.
