Ducks On A Pond.

Another dreary day!
With nothing pressing to do yesterday morning Chuck and I took a drive out to Campbell's Orchards for a quick look around. We picked up a few things and headed back outside to check out the pond.
Just these four birds were swimming around the pond.
I didn't know what kind of goose this was. I believe it is a male Chinese Goose. He was very vocal and kept an eye on the other ducks. Very handsome!
Sophie was mooching around outside. A car in the parking lot had a small dog inside and they were eyeing each other.
We drove down a side road for a change and came upon this lovely old church. Very neat and tidy.
This diner is always very busy in the summer. Originally it was an old school bus but has been added onto over the years.
Weller's Bay. The water level is very low for this time of year. We have had so little rain the last two months and no snow. Very swanky town homes on the left.
Mr Robin was busy in the backyard.
Gorgeous sunrise a few days ago. We are supposed to be cooler this weekend with maybe some flurries. No hope at all for a white Christmas. The temps are going to be in the 50's on Christmas day. I'm happy with that!

Have a good weekend!
Robin

  2. Lovely sunrise!

I'm happy with a green Christmas too. :-)

Swanky homes, maybe, but no land, no space between neighbours. I could have a zillion dollars and I would still have a small house on an acerage somewhere.

The diner looks like a real dump, IMO, but I bet it has the best fish and chips around. It's usually those little holes-in-the-wall that have the best food. Mmm, makes me hungry just thinking about it. I had French fries early in October, when Dad and Helene were here.

It's great to see the geese (yes, he's a handsome fellow!), Sophie and the robin too!

    Take care.

The swanky homes have very small lots, they are all house.
The diner is a dump but the food is great. I make homemade fries but I bake them in the oven. It had been a couple of years since I have had deep fried French fries.
      See you!

  4. I like the rides you and Chuck take. Those are the kinds of places I like to visit...Hopefully when Poppy retires.

  5. There is something special about a day at sunrise, the moment before it actually becomes the rest of the day. A very nice picture.
