Make Em Purr.

Not hard to do with these two cats as you can hear with the video below. Pardon the darkness but I shot it around 7:00 a.m the other morning. You might have to turn your sound up a bit. Sorry, the video is not showing up all the time!
Today is our last day cat sitting. It has been lots of fun and a great pleasure to look after cats again. We still can't bring ourselves to adopt another cat and I don't know that we ever will but we remain open to it.
This is one of Toby's favourite places, the food cupboard! I can see he has put on some weight over the last few months. More to love!
After lunch I went over to sit with them for a little bit. A flock of starlings were sitting in the oak tree outside the window chirping.
Toby watching the birds again. Beautiful eyes!
Pretty Oreo. Sweet, sweet girl.
A few birds enjoying the sunshine over the weekend. We are in for a mild week melting what little snow we have.
I took this photo of the moon a couple nights ago.  It was so bright you could practically read outside.
My Mum continues to be in the hospital for observation. Her age and this being her third rib fracture has them a little worried. I will keep you posted. Thank you for all your kind concern.
Take care.
Robin

  1. Rats, I don't see the video, just a blank white box. Probably a problem at my end. Anyway, the photos are great, it's easy to see how loved and well-cared for they are.

I'm sorry your mum's still not home; I'm sure she's chafing to get out of there, but I'm glad the doctors are being cautious. You hear stories otherwise in some cases! Fingers and paws crossed she gets out very soon!

This is the longest my Mum has spent in a hospital in her life! Hopefully she's home soon.

  2. I don't see a video either, in fact I don't even have a blank white box.

It's mild here as well, and the ground is rapidly thawing so I went out with rubber gloves on and pulled weeds. I am determined to pull them before they bloom and set seed.
Looks like you still have quite a bit of snow.

    1. Sorry G.M. I can't figure out what happened to the video!
Oh I would love to be able to pull weeds in January!
We don't have tons of snow but at least two more months of winter to come.

  3. Sounds like you had a fun time watching the cats. It will be quiet with them gone.
I saw and heard the video. That's quite a loud purr.

    1. We have really enjoyed cat sitting. I often have thought I would try it as a part time job but I love cats so I think I would feel guilty taking people's money!

    1. They are lovely. By the end of the week Toby, who is not very cuddly, was giving me kisses.

  6. Good Heavens, I hope your mum is all right. It is such a worry when loved ones age. We spend our lives worrying about those we love, the old, the young, the in-between. It never stops.

  7. So true! It seems for the last 15 years we have worried about one parent or another. The only parent we have left is my Mum.
