I Dream Of Spring.

That's what Toby may have been thinking last Saturday when I took this photo of him. He was out on his deck enjoying the beautiful day.
I was a little nervous though. This Cooper's Hawk has been hanging around the last few days. I went out and scared him away once but I'm sure he came right back.
Ms. Tippy was fearless and was dashing around eating peanuts.
This squirrel stayed up in one of the trees for quite awhile.
Butterscotch came back along with the sun yesterday. She stayed around for a couple of hours eating and playing with the other squirrels. She cleaned up most of the dried cranberries!
With the mild winter the squirrels seem to be scratching a lot. No bone chilling weather to kill off the fleas!
Everyone was visiting the feeders.
A nuthatch enjoying the suet.
Under this pine tree is the new hangout for the mourning doves. I think I have counted 15 under there at once.
We had new mirrored doors put on the closet in the back hall yesterday. The before is up above…….
And here is the after. We were getting tired of seeing all our coats, sweaters, shoes and assorted other things every time we came in the door.
The moon has been so lovely a couple of times this week. It was very clear last night with many stars visible. I know the neighbours must think I am crazy wandering around outside in the dark with my camera. I can't help it!
We are supposed to get a winter storm over the next couple days. We went and did all kinds of errands this morning and stocked up on groceries so we will be fine. Hope you did too if it is coming your way!
Take care and have a wonderful week!
Robin

  1. Gees, you guys have no snow now! We still have so much of it from last Tuesday, in spite of the weekend's melt. I'm not looking forward to the next few days. Time for us all to head for better climes. :-)

The closet doors look great, though I couldn't help but think of cat (or dog) nose and paw prints all over it, if I had mirrored doors in my house. Ha.

All your critters are looking terrific, and soon spring really will be here.

Take care! Stay in and safe and cosy tomorrow and Thursday.

    1. We really lost most of the snow over the weekend. We plan on staying inside mostly for the next couple days!
I never thought of cat nose prints on the closet doors! We have had them in all of our homes (cats and mirrored doors!) and I can't remember ever seeing smudges from them.
All the critters are looking fat and glossy. They should judging by all the bird food they go through!
Take care Kim. Be VERY careful tomorrow.

  3. Haha... I've gone out in the dark to look at the moon when it's full and we can actually see it( no clouds) and have been known to go out in my robe and slippers. As I probably will do tonight! Who cares what the neighbours think.
Those mirrored closet doors are not a good thing for people like me. I've walked right into them more than once when in an unfamiliar house.

    1. I am a wanderer at night outside too. I love looking at the moon and stars!
We tried white doors in the back hall but it didn't look nice. The mirrored doors make it nice and light.

  5. That kitty is so cute! It scares me when a hawk starts hanging around. I love your little group of assorted colored squirrels. :)

  8. Ha! The mirrored doors made me think the back lobby was twice its size. I think they work and look great.

    1. Thanks! It does make the room look bigger and brighter. I am so happy not to have to look at all our shoes and coats every time I walk back there.
