If we all could be happy with just a peanut! This squirrel stood and ate the handful of peanuts I put out with a smile on it's face.
Slow week this past week. Chuck is finished his contract job this Friday and won't be going back until January. The days seem to be creeping along. We are like kids anticipating Summer holidays! To be able to sleep in past 5:00 a.m. will be such a treat. Kim from "Musings On A Small Life" is coming for a visit this week. We are very much looking forward to spending time with her.
Beautiful skies morning and night these last few days.
We were out shopping in Belleville on the weekend and spotted a Maverick. This was the model of car we had that caught fire in our garage in August of 2015. Very rarely do you see them here anymore as the newest one would be almost 40 years old.
The leaves are just starting to change here. In another week or so this curve in the highway will be red and orange.
Finally a few birds at the feeders. Sweet Pea must have been off somewhere for this bird to take a chance and visit.
This bird (I believe a Warbler) flew into our sliding glass door as we were eating lunch on Sunday. Sorry so blurry. He rested there for a couple minutes. We assumed Sweet Pea was not around. A few seconds after I took this photo Sweet Pea grabbed the bird. Chuck and I both yelled at him but he ran off. We don't know the fate of the bird, if it managed to get away.
Then not an hour later he had a squirrel cornered on the fence. Look familiar Kim? Sweet Pea did wander off after a couple minutes. Then the squirrel got down and came up on our back deck. I was just looking out the sliding door when the squirrel whizzed by with Sweet Pea right after him. He (Sweet Pea) was back a minute later so he wasn't successful in catching it.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week.
