"Love Is In The Air"

Punkin looking adoringly at Miss Kitty. The yellow is a reflection in the window of one of my plants.
The Spring like weather seems to be having an affect on a certain male cat. Punkin is in love! And Miss Kitty isn't too happy about it. I noticed a few days ago Punkin was hanging around quite a bit more especially when Miss Kitty was here visiting.
Cats!
She acts very coy and tends to ignore him.

Punkin is a very sweet cat who has always been very polite and tidy when he comes to eat.
Sorry, through the screen.
I was sitting at the kitchen table by the back deck sliding door. Miss Kitty whizzed by with Punkin right after her. A few minutes later the same thing again. I haven't seen either of them today. I am hoping that Miss Kitty is spayed!
Gorgeous day on Sunday so we headed out on our 10km walk. This creek was frozen along the edges last week but that has all melted. It seems like mid-March now.
We walked over to the Marina to see if the Bay was still frozen over. No ice hockey this weekend!
A few geese and swans out in the Bay.
Most of the snow is gone but we are to get some more tonight. That is our house with the little white car.
Breathtaking sky a few nights ago.
I believe I took this one afternoon when the sun peeped out for a few minutes.
Not a great photo but I noticed a Junco bathing in a depression in the lawn under a cedar tree. He flapped around there for a minute of so.

Sorry, a boring blog post but we have been spending lots of time outside enjoying the Spring-like weather. Chuck has been busy redoing the Powder Room too. I can hear him now sanding the drywall in preparation of painting the last wall.

Have a good week!
Robin

  1. It's never a boring blog post, with the all nature and critter photos. :-)

I was so enjoying the March-like temps, but we'll be getting about 15 cms over the next several days if the forecast holds true. Boo. But we still have 2 months of winter left, so I guess it's to be expected.

As for Miss Kitty, she might warm up to Punkin pretty quickly if she comes into heat. :-(

    1. Hi Kim, It felt like a boring post to me! With it being so grey and dreary it is hard to find something to post about. Can't wait until Spring!
I think we are supposed to get 5 or 6 cms of snow. Chuck isn't working until Wednesday so hopefully everything will be cleaned up by then.
I am worrying that we are going to have an influx of kittens come Spring!

  2. Not boring at all! I have enjoyed a few warm days here recently, but I guess the cold is not completely gone yet. I won't go wild and start looking toward spring planting yet! :) And cats! Oh my. Yes, they have their own ideas about things, and you could end up with kittens! xo Lynn

    1. Hi Lynn, thanks for stopping by! You will be planting your Spring garden long before we will! I don't have a lot of experience with super young kittens so I truly hope Miss Kitty is spayed.
      Have a good week!

  4. Lovely cloud pics. I always enjoy them.
I wish that darn tree wasn't hiding your house. Sure looks like Spring out your way but as you say, you'll probably get more snow soon. It's 7 here today and we actually have sunshine. At this rate Crocuses will soon be up. Must check for Snowdrops too.

    1. Hi Granny Marigold, we heard you were finally getting warmer. Lucky you!
The Spring like look of our neighbourhood didn't last. We woke up to snow this morning. But in less than two months it WILL be Spring.
      Take care.

  6. I like seeing the sky there and the kitty cats. Glad you're having a bit of a respite from winter. We're going to have a few days without rain here. I can't wait to get outside and go for a walk! Enjoy your spring-like days!

    1. Hi Robin, our respite from winter is over today. I am sitting in our living room watching the snow come down. It was lovely while it lasted!
Glad your rain finally let up. I go stir crazy cooped up in the house for more than a couple days when the weather isn't cooperating.
      Enjoy your nice weather!

  7. You might be seeing a few more kittens around one of these days.
Weather still very changeable here too. Never know from one day to the next whether it will be winter or spring.
    Lovely photos along your walk.

    1. Oh gosh Karen, I hope not! As we are not 100% sure Miss Kitty is a stray I would hope she is spayed.
After receiving some snow today it is to rain tomorrow. The weather is changeable everywhere that's for sure!

    1. Hi Cheryl, Miss Kitty especially looks so well it does make me wonder if she is a stray. I saw her briefly this morning and Punkin wasn't in sight.
      Take care!

  10. Not boring at all. I especially loved the Junco:)
Is there any rescue group in your area that would fix the kitties if they aren't?

    1. Hi Sandra, we have a small group in our town but they are short of funds. I would first have to establish that they are indeed strays. Getting them into cages would be interesting too!
