After a week of mild temperatures we woke up to very cold temperatures yesterday morning. The high on Wednesday was in the 50's while Thursday struggled to get out of the 20's.
But all the Spring birds continue to come back.
Grackle's and Red Winged Blackbirds are everywhere.
I haven't been able to get a decent photo of the Blackbirds yet.
Another blogger had photos of cowbirds which I haven't spotted yet.
This poor Mourning Dove has been at the feeders the last few days. She seems to have a bad foot along with white spots over various ports of her body. I googled and couldn't find out what it is. She eats heartily and flew away fine enough.
Tuesday was such a beautiful mild day I didn't want to wait until Chuck arrived home from work to go for a walk so I headed out myself. I was gone 90 minutes as I stopped frequently to take photos.
One of our local creeks was running quite quickly due to all the rain we have had. This portion of the creek is outside our local gym. The patrons could see me scaling the banks of the creek while they were working out. I am sure they thought I was nuts!
I had some company along the way.
I stopped for a very long freight train.
There is a lovely street a couple streets over from our house that has a great mixture of older and newer homes. This lovely house has a sign that reads "White Cottage".
Love the gingerbread work on this one.
I love the colour scheme on this home. This one was in need of a few repairs but the gardens are lovely.
Finally was able to get a decent photo of Miss Kitty and Punkin eating.
Thirty three years ago today at 3:00 p.m two kids got married. Everyone said we were too young (we were 20 and 23) and we were going to have a tough time (which we did on occasion) but here we are!
I know I showed this photo in January but it is the most recent photo!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
